Elbonie, a teacher and owner of To Love Naturally , met Joe online in the fall of 2013 and developed a relationship based on talking and really getting to know each other. “We would just sit at my kitchen table and talk for hours over coffee, lots of coffee.”
Elbonie recalls the beginning.
“We spent many nights on the phone like we were in high school—that 3:00 AM in the morning phone conversations…knowing you have to get up and go to work the next day! But we didn’t care because our conversations were natural, not forced, it was like…God put this man in front of me to help me deal with life, and it was in that moment I was reminded that, “All Things Are Working Together for My Good.”
“He taught me what it means to be present in all that I do.” Said Elbonie
Joe also shared his thoughts on how their love become stronger.
“I knew she was the one a couple weeks later at the same time that she professed her love for me. I had fallen in love with her; it was like love at first sight. We both came to each other battle tested and combat bruised, and we have been through individual and collective trials together. To us, this is the full embodiment of the perfect marriage.”
The two will wed this fall ! Check out their engagement photos by Sam Jasper.
